FTC Disclosure Compliance Rules
2015 was the year that the Federal Trade Commission released new guidelines regarding disclosure compliance.
These rules are designed to ensure readers and viewers of web media are informed if a blogger, publisher, or endorser is partnered or sponsored by another company. The readers must be able to see if the content blogger is making money sharing a link or product.
To comply with FTC guidelines, please assume these things about links and posts to this site:
Each and every link on CCGadget is an affiliate link. We get a small payment for certain items.
What are Affiliate Links?
Purchases can only be made from external affiliate sites: A reader clicks on the affiliate link at CCGadget to buy an item. The seller will then ship the item directly to the buyer (not through the website link).
Amazon and/or companies pay CCGadget commissions or other compensation when they help to bring customers to their websites.
Prices are the exact same for all readers, regardless of whether they purchase through an associate link or a not-affiliate one. Clicking an associate link or a link that is not affiliated does nothing to change the price for the visitor.
CCGadget makes use of two types of main affiliate programs:
1. Amazon affiliate links.
Website Link participated in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. It is an affiliate advertising program that allows website owners to earn fees for linking to Amazon.com as well other websites which may be affiliated with Amazon Service LLC Associates Program.
2. Product affiliate links.
Clicking a product link will allow you to buy the product.
These affiliate links will not make the prices anymore. Clicking through to the affiliate link will not result in a higher price. These links aren’t “pay-per-click.”
What about sponsored material?
We don’t post sponsored posts. We want to provide honest, non-biased information. If a company wants to post sponsored content on CCGadget however, we will make it clear at the beginning. We recommend only products that we use, or that we would recommend to friends and family.
Your purchase helps me with my research. We are grateful. We appreciate you!
